Why does Lady Gaga dress so weird and make strange videos?

Well, I love Lady Gaga's songs. They are really amazing but i watch the the videos and just think they are weird and pointless and i want to know the meaning to them. And why does she dress in such weird clothes with black lipstick covering only part of her lips? It is just strange.

7. No , she doesn't have drug problems nor did she have family problems. You may think that her videos are pointless, but they really do have strong meanings. Stronger than we all think. She is actually very smart and she knows exactly what she wants to do and when to do it. For Example "Bad Romance" seemed to me as the most ridiculous video of all time, but it isn't. She said that she wants the message across that, whatever you are she wants your romance, bad or good. The theme of her video she saids is a Russian mafia,or something like that, which further explains the bad romance part. She is her, her fashion choices, her music, videos, all her. She dresses that way because she likes it also, if you think about it, it gets people talking therefore curious about who she is. That's how she got so famous, people were curioused and fascinated. She is such a genius.She is truly the most creative and smartest musician there has ever been. I love her! :)
8. Gaga is unique. She dresses 'weird' because she felt that she didn't fit in during high school, and she doesn't want her fans to feel like she did. So she created a space for her fans where they could feel free. She created an atomshepre so they feel like they have a freak in her to be with and they don't feel alone. Her videos actually have a meaning. The Bad Romance video is all about sex trafficking. 'The Fame Monster' album is all about Gaga conquering her fears - Bad Romance is the fear of love. Teeth is the fear of truth. Speechless is the fear of death (written for Papa Gaga who had open heart surgery). Yep... Lady Gaga is wonderful. <3

14. I like Family's answer.. But she did get into drugs at one point before she was famous, but then once she started getting big she quit. She no longer has a drug problem. Also she dresses how she dresses, and does what she does, because thats who she is and she enjoys it.
